The U.S. Department of Defense has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to identify potential vendors capable of supplying a Crew-Served Weapon simulator compatible with the Conflict Kinetics TORA simulator system. This RFI is solely for information gathering and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or a commitment to procure the described services or equipment. Respondents are expected to provide details on their ability to deliver a comprehensive synthetic training system tailored to the Navy Expeditionary Combat Command’s (NECC) specifications. The system requirements include a minimum 220-degree, five-panel trainer with the necessary hardware such as servers, screens, projectors, and cameras, alongside predictive marksmanship software supporting small arms and crew-served weapons including the M240 and M2HB. The contractor will also be responsible for customizing the systems during installation to fit physical facility dimensions and setting up tailored training and qualification programs aligned with NECC’s unit-specific needs. Components must include multi-weapon, multi-user networked operations, and comprehensive maintenance support with repair parts. Additionally, the package must feature synthetic M240 and M2HB weapons equipped with realistic recoil and full compatibility with existing NECC simulation platforms. A weapons maintenance station with repair and upkeep hardware for synthetic weapons is required. All responses must be submitted by email and will become government property; the government will not reimburse costs for response preparation. The RFI underscores that this is not a request for proposals and no contractual obligations are made at this stage.
