(I) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. In order to further the Government policy of maximizing electronic commerce and making the acquisition process optimally cost effective, all future amendments and any other official communications, if any, from the agency regarding this solicitation will be distributed via www.fbo.gov. Quote Validation Date quote must be valid for at least 30 days. Quote response must be inclusive of the Section 508 Rehabilitation Act Compliance Statement. Offeror must acknowledge compliance. Offeror must state no later than Delivery and Installation Dates use calendar date(s). Include State Federal Tax Identification (TIN) and Dun and Bradstreet (DUNS) number(s). Quote must include the terms and conditions for returns and exchanges as well as any restocking fees. Offerors must identify if returns or exchanges are not accepted. (II) The solicitation for commercial items is issued by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), Northern California Area Team (NCAT), Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) on behalf of the Department of Defense, Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) West, located in Seaside, California. (VI) Description of Requirement: Annual Onsite Hardware Maintenance ? A base year period plus four one year options as follows: Base Period: 1 January 2008 through December 31, 2008 Option Year 1 1 January 2009 through December 31, 2009 Option Year 2 1 January 2010 through December 31, 2010 Option Year 3 1 January 2011 through December 31, 2011 Option Year 4 1 January 2012 through December 31, 2012 The Onsite Hardware Maintenance is for a Rimage Prot?g? II CD-R System (2 Drive CD-R Production System) - SN # U044711, the Everest Printer serial number is E012478. The equipment is located at Defense Manpower Data Center ? 1600 Wilson Boulevard; Suite 400, Arlington, Virginia 22209-2593 . The maintenance must include a two-day onsite response time as required, technical support by telephone and email Monday ? Friday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., excluding holidays. The maintenance must also include all parts except cost of replacement, print head, and associated labor. Replacement print head is considered a separately purchased consumable but work must be done by a certified Rimage technician or Rimage trained administrator.
