This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) is DLV60155 and incorporates provisions and clauses through FAC 2005-11. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The NAICS Code/Size Standard is 443120/$8.0 Million. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) is interested in obtaining the following: 1) Apple Mfg.# MA209LL/A, Apple Xserve Raid, Hard drive array, 7 TB, rack-mountable, 14 bays, 14xHD 500GB, 7200 rpm, 2GB Fibre Channel, 3U (6 each); 2) Apple Mfg. #MA180G/A Apple Drive Module, Hard drive, 500 GB, hot-swap, 3.5" ATA 133 7200 rpm, buffer, 8MB (2 each); and 3) Apple Mfg. #M8330LL/C Apple Warranty Up-Lift to a 3 year basic warranty (6 each). Delivery of requested items is to NIEHS, Bldg. 104, 111 TW Alexander Drive, Research Triangle Park, NC 27709. Offeror should quote FOB Destination. The following provision applies to this acquisition: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors. There are no additional addenda. FAR Clause 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certification-Commercial with offers. FAR Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial, applies to this acquisition.
