This contract amendment updates a previous Request for Information (RFI) related to electronic machine-readable travel document (e-MRTD) readers, originally issued on August 5, 2005. The amendment states that the newer RFI 9543, posted under the SEWP (Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement) program as of November 2, 2005, supersedes the earlier solicitation and all of its amendments. It expands the scope of the solicitation to include additional product classes—specifically classes 10, 11, 12, and 13—whereas the original RFI only addressed class 12. This change broadens the range of eligible e-MRTD reader products and allows prime contractors under the SEWP program to engage directly with e-MRTD vendors or vice versa. The contracting officers responsible for this solicitation are Patricia Oliver and Bob Richards, who can be contacted via phone and email for further information. The solicitation falls under the NAICS code 519190 and is listed as a presolicitation, indicating that the government seeks information before formally issuing a procurement. No specific set-aside status, agency name, or place of performance details are provided. This RFI serves as a market research tool to gather input from potential vendors and inform future acquisition strategies related to e-MRTD reader technologies.
