***ADDITIONAL NOTICE DETAILS*** IMOD II Cancellation The Infrastructure Modernization (IMOD) contract fulfilled requirements for the Installation Information Infrastructure Modernization Program Office (I3MP) to support the upgrade and modernization of enterprise enabled voice and data networks worldwide. The Government was able to acquire state of the art IT digital switching systems/equipment, wireless, broadband solutions, cable plant worldwide. These were turnkey solutions such as site preparation, equipment installation, cutover, training and initial logistics support including modification and upgrade tasks. The IMOD contract had a base period of five (5) years from 28 April 2006 through 27 April 2011, and one five-year option period 28 April 2011 through 27 April 2016. As a result of decreasing requirements, declining available resourcing, and prioritization of modernization strategies, a re-compete of the IMOD contract is not supported. Specified work requirements of this type will be reviewed on an individual basis through acquisition instruments which are yet to be determined. (End of Notice)
