This serves as a "Notice of Intent" to award a modification to exercise an option to Zycus, to provide Model Maintenance Software and Annual maintenance for Autoclass Batch 1.5x and AutoClass Live Connect 1.5 Licenses for a period of performance of DOA through end of FY08. This is for the GSA Federal Acquisition Service Office of the Chief Information Officer. This is a commercial item. Orginal posting of the requirement was Posted on FEDBIZOPS Nov 3, 2005 and closed Nov. 24, 2005. It was for one base year and three, one-year option periods to be exercised at the Government's discretion. {FAR 52.242-19, Availability of Funds for the Next Fiscal Year, applicable}. This purchase was conducted in direct response to a GAO Report, which cited the need to improve catalogue capability and recommended Zycus as the company best suited to the task. The proprietary Zycus model maintenance software license is not currently available on GSA Schedule. Therefore, it was purchased open market from Zycus and the requirement to extend the option has risen. Because the Chief Information Officer has determined that Zycus continues to meet the needs of the requirements and there is no reason to convert to a new environement, the option will be exercised.
