This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT; solicitation number W91ZLK-14-T-0604. The Army Contracting Command Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Tenant Contracting Division, 6001 Combat Drive, Aberdeen Proving Ground MD 21005 has a requirement to procure a Laser Barrel Mapping System in support of Aberdeen Test Center (ATC), located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. CLIN 0001: QTY 1 EA - LP-4210 Data Acquisition Instrument CLIN 0002: QTY 1 EA - Tube Scanning Sensors (5.56 mm) CLIN 0003: QTY 1 EA - Tube Scanning Sensors (7.62mm) CLIN 0004: QTY 1 EA - 2 # Axis Motor Controller Unit CLIN 0005: QTY 1 EA - Calibration Software/Workspace # (Level) CLIN 0006: QTY 1 EA - Small Caliber Calibration Rings (5.56mm) CLIN 0007: QTY 1 EA - Small Caliber Calibration Rings (7.62 mm) CLIN 0008: QTY 1 EA - Probe/Sensor Shipping Case The Government intends to award a firm-fixed priced sole source purchase order to Laser Techniques Company (LTC), LLC, 6742 185th Avenue NE Suite 300, Redmond, WA 98052-6714. The Aberdeen Test Center (ATC) requires the procurement of Laser Barrel Mapping System. ATC currently own a laser barrel mapping system from LTC. ATC requests the purchase of one (1) LP-4210 Data Acquisition Instrument, one (1), Tube Scanning Sensors (5.56mm), one (1) Tube Scanning Sensors (7.62mm), one (1) 2 # Axis Motor Controller Unit, one (1) Calibration Software/Workspace # (Level), one (1) Small Caliber Calibration Rings (5.56mm), one (1) Small Caliber Calibration Rings (7.62 mm), and one (1) Probe/Sensor Shipping Case. Laser Techniques Company has no resellers of their equipment. The new system will be used with the current equipment; to include everything that is needed to calibrate the system, control the laser scanning process, acquire and analyze the data, and generate results of selected measurements. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334419 and the Business Size Standard is 500 employees. All response received within five (5) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 05-76 July 25, 2014. This requirement is determined to be available from only one source because of its unique requirements. No request for quote for this procurement will be transmitted via Federal Business Opportunities. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 10:00 AM Daylight Saving Time (DST), August 28, 2014. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
