Full Description

The United States Postal Service (USPS) has a requirement for the acquisition of a service for a web-based Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) National Excess Management System (NEMS) with minimal customizations for use by U.S. Postal Service personnel. A COTS NEMS is a national database that must support the entry, listing and multiple disposition methods (i.e., sale, re-distribution, recycling, donation, scrap etc.) of excess material by multiple users at multiple locations with hierarchical user profiles. NEMS must also support the financial tracking and reporting of listed assets. NEMS COTS solutions are modular so a phased-in implementation program is possible, built around USPS business rules, and easily interfaced with existing postal legacy systems. The selected supplier shall be responsible for the configuration, customization, testing, integration, deployment, and support of NEMS. See attached.
