70 -- Refurbished Scanners

The Internal Revenue Service has a requirement for refurbished Janus Hand Held Model J2020D311100 Scanners. It is the intent of the Government to negotiate on a sole source basis with Ryzex, Incorporated, 4600 Ryzex Way, Bellingham, WA 98226. This is a Commercial Item Acquisition in accordance with FAR Subpart 2.101. Vendors who can provide the required services at prices, terms, and conditions equal to or better than those which can be provided by Ryzex, Incorporated should submit clear and convincing data in writing substantiating an ability to furnish the entire requirement. Telephonic or e-mail inquiries will not be accepted. Responses to this synopsis must be received by this office within ten (10) days after publication. Responses should be sent to: Internal Revenue Service, National Office Procurement, 6009 Oxon Hill Road, Room 500, Oxon Hill, MD 20745, Attn: Tyuana L. B. Bailey, A:P:I:E. Responses will be accepted by facsimile at 202.283.0610. These responses must arrive at the place by the date specified in this synopsis and may not exceed ten (10) pages. If a response is received that meets the IRS's requirements and analysis of both technical and pricing documentation indicate that a competitive acquisition would be more advantageous to the Government, a formal solicitation may be issued. Currently, no solicitation document exists for this requirement. Requests for same will be considered non-responsive. The reference number for this announcement is 1BY2A00.
