This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. NUWC Division Newport intends to purchase software modifications and enhancements to existing Data Recording and Archiving Segment (DRAMS) and Beamforming and Output Processing Segment (BOPS) portions of the DRAMS Shore Interface (DSI) that provide data acquisition, data storage, and beamform processing. The DRAMS Shore Interface (DSI) was built by Dynatron Systems Corporation. This requirement is in support of the Shallow Water Array Performance - Acoustic Observatory (AO) Project. It is expected to place a purchase order with Dynatron Corporation. They are the only known source for these items because they possess the unique knowledge of the processes for modifying the software because Dynatron developed the software to accommodate the new Chesapeake Sciences Corp. (CSC) array data telemetry and hardware configuration interface requirements. RFQ N66604-07-Q-2252 is expected to be released on or about 03/29/07. Required level of effort is 400 man-hours. Clearance to SECRET level is required. Size standard is 500 employees. Period of performance will be from date of award to 09/30/2007, F.O.B. Destination Naval Station Newport; Newport, RI.
