The General Services Administration (GSA) has issued a refreshed electronic solicitation, effective May 20, 2005, for the Federal Supply Schedule designated as FSC 71, Part II, covering Household and Quarters Furniture. This solicitation, numbered 3FNH-F6-020002-B, Refreshed #5, supersedes the prior Refreshed #4 version from August 27, 2004, and includes updated contract clauses that all offerors must complete. The solicitation features Special Item Numbers 71-202 Wall Units (wood with laminate) and 71-203 Loft Groups, both set aside exclusively for small businesses. Contract awards under this schedule are indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity agreements with a guaranteed minimum of $2,500 and will span an initial five-year term with up to three additional five-year extension options, allowing for a potential total contract period of 20 years, contingent upon satisfactory performance. Key factors influencing contract continuation include adequate sales, quality of performance, timely Industrial Funding Fee payments, and active participation in the GSA Advantage! Program, with timely submission of electronic catalogs being mandatory within six months post-award. The solicitation and related documents are accessible electronically via the FedBizOpps website, with special provisions for those unable to download files online through fax or mail requests. Contract specialists Carmel L. Pizzuti and Thomas E. Murray serve as primary points of contact for inquiries and guidance. This procurement encourages participation from 8(a) small businesses in accordance with FAR 19.5 and welcomes offers from all responsible sources. The contracts awarded will incorporate Industrial Funding Fee provisions and place emphasis on electronic catalog availability to ensure inclusion in the GSA Advantage! purchasing platform. This approach aligns with GSA’s goal to streamline acquisition processes while supporting small business opportunities in furnishing government facilities.
