The General Services Administration (GSA) issued a refreshed electronic solicitation on May 20, 2005, for Special Use Furniture under the Federal Supply Classification 71, Part III. This solicitation, number 3FNH-F6-010003-B, Refreshed #5, supersedes the previous version released in August 2004. It encompasses various Special Item Numbers (SIN) related to lecterns, library furniture, mail sorting and distribution furniture, cafeteria and food service furniture, hazardous materials storage, convalescent chairs, and correctional institution furniture. Notably, several SINs are designated as 100% small business set-asides, encouraging participation from small enterprises, including 8(a) firms. The solicitation is available via the FedBizOpps website, with clear instructions for downloading and submission, and any contract-related queries can be directed to designated GSA contract specialists. Contracts awarded through this solicitation will be indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contracts with a guaranteed minimum of $2,500 for the contract period. The base contract term is five years, with up to three five-year options, potentially extending the total performance period to twenty years, contingent on satisfactory contractor performance. Key performance indicators include adequate sales, quality service, timely Industrial Funding Fee payments, and mandatory participation in the GSA Advantage! online program. All contractors must post their electronic catalogs to the GSA Advantage! website within six months post-award to qualify for contract option periods. The solicitation incorporates required clauses for completion and return by offerors, with full support for electronic communication but no telephone requests accepted for solicitation copies. The points of contact for the solicitation are Thomas E. Murray and Carmel L. Pizzuti, both Contract Specialists at GSA.
