This is a sources sought announcement only. This is not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this announcement is to gain knowledge of current market conditions relative to NAICS 423450. The Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA), Network Contracting Office 23 (NCO 23), on behalf of Nebraska Western Iowa VA Health Care System, Grand Island, MN is seeking to identify any vendor capable of to provide sleeper sofas. Background: Prior to issuing a solicitation, and pursuant to the Veterans First Contracting Program, the VA is trying to ascertain if there are any qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) with the capability of providing the below services: (Respondents are not limited to SDVOSB/VOSB concerns; the Government seeks to identify all potentially interested sources): Statement of work: The Contractor must provide 10 sleeper sofas meeting the below technical requirements. Pricing shall include freight costs. The contract does not include installation. Technical Requirements The sleep sofa shall be similar or equal to Carolina Retrospect model 7058-S76 or Wieland SleepToo sleep sofa. Sleep Sofa shall size shall not exceed 76 in length, and be approximately 34 Depth and 33 in Height. The seat of the sofa shall contain a moisture barrier and the sofa shall be upholstered in Momentum, Silica Effloresce, Color Mist. The wood wood/laminate on the drawer fronts shall be Cherry in finish. The Unit must be available on the GSA schedule. Product shall be durable and easy to clean. The sofa shall have a warranty of 5 years. The sofa must contain arms and they shall be black poly and straight in design. The sofa shall have built in storage for bedding. All foam shall be premium grade and fire retardant. Seat shall be 5 thick, 2.5 lb density, 25 compression or equal. Seat box and drawer assembly shall have joints on seat and back and arms shall be assembled using glue and corner blocks. The seat box and back shall be constructed of 7/8 construction grade plywood or equal. Legs can be either wood or aluminum. The sofa shall be easy to convert to sleep unit.
