The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 2 plans to negotiate a Firm-Fixed Price sole source purchase order with Stryker Medical for replacing the Stryker ProCuity Beds at the Buffalo VA. This procurement is justified under FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(b) due to Stryker being the only source capable of meeting the agency’s requirements, supported by existing mandatory BPA contracts under both VHA NAC FSS and VANEC BPA arrangements. The contract is classified under NAICS code 339113, with the relevant size standard set at 1,000 employees. No solicitation package will be issued, as this notice serves as a notification of intent rather than a competitive solicitation. Interested parties may express their interest and capability by emailing the designated contracting officer by the specified deadline, though the government will not compensate for any information submitted. Any responses will be considered solely for determining if a competitive procurement may be pursued in the future, with the ultimate decision resting with the government. The contracting office handling this effort is located in Albany, NY, with Duane Philgence as the point of contact for inquiries. This action ensures continuity and meets the unique requirements for medical-surgical bed replacements within the Buffalo VA Medical Center.
