INTRODUCTION:


This is a Sources Sought issued for conducting market research and identifying potential sources. This is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quote (RFQ), or an Invitation for Bid (IFB). No solicitation is being issued at this time, and this notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract.


The purpose of this notice is to identify potential vendors, including small businesses, capable of providing one (1) 72 passenger bus as described below. 



72-Passenger bus requirements are:
 
Passenger Capacity - 72 passengers (based on a 3-passengers-per-seat configuration).
Vehicle Type - Multi-Function School Activity Bus (MFSAB). Traditional roadside traffic control devices (e.g., stop arms, flashing lights) are not required.
Seating - Standard compartmentalized seating (3-point lap and shoulder belts are not required).
Accessibility - Standard access (wheelchair lift and ADA-compliant floor plan are not required).
Engine Configuration - Open / Flexible. Both Front Engine (FE) and Rear Engine (RE) configurations are acceptable.
Climate Control - Dual air conditioning system required. Performance-based requirement: system must effectively cool the cabin while transporting a full load of passengers (no specific BTU rating required).
Fuel System - Fuel-agnostic. No specific fuel type mandated.
Storage Compartments - No under-body or exterior luggage storage required.
