Inc. has been authorized by the California Department of Conservation, Geologic Energy Management Division (CalGEM), to perform casing repair work on the existing McKittrick Fee 3345 well (API #0403064467) located in the Cymric Oil Field in Kern County, California. The rework is strictly limited to maintaining well integrity within the current completion zone, with no intention to increase well depth, expand production capacity, or alter the existing operational footprint. The project utilizes reclaimed produced water, with approximately 750 barrels per well allocated for operations, and aligns with the established UIC Project #19024021, which governs continuous steam injection and cyclic steam operations in the Tulare Formation. CalGEM has determined the activity qualifies for multiple categorical exemptions under the California Environmental Quality Act, specifically Classes 1, 2, 4, 7, and 8, confirming the work involves routine maintenance and repair without significant environmental impact. The most recent non-expansion infill package was approved in July 2024, and the project remains under the regulatory framework established by prior approvals, including the 2012 Project Approval Letter. All activities are conducted at the existing well pad, with inspection and acceptance managed directly by CalGEM, using the well site as the operational location and the CalGEM District Office in Bakersfield as the formal acceptance point. No pricing, contract value, procurement type, or federal acquisition regulations apply, as this is an environmental permitting action under state law, not a federal government contract.
