Justification and Approval for: Other than Full and Open Competition The VA Togus Healthcare System intends to negotiate on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements with Somat or its authorized dealers for the purchase of Custom HE-6 Pulp Extractor and accessories as shown in Statement of Work below: Statement of Work General Description Provide all parts to replace the damaged extractor for the SPC?50 dishwasher machine in B204 on the Togus, ME campus. Work to include: ? Contractor shall provide freight shipping of part to the Togus, ME campus. ? Contractor shall provide Custom manufacture new extractor for direct replacement to SOMAT Equipment. Part number is CUST-HE-6. ? Contractor shall Provide manufacturer's shop drawings. ? Contractor shall provide a one year warranty on materials. All parts and equipment shall be certified by factory as a direct replacement; all labor that is needed for installation to be provided by the VA once part is received and receiving inspection is passed. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature, to the Contract Specialist no later than 05/11/2016 at 2:00 p.m. Responses should be sent to contact@example.gov. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
