Statement of Work (SOW) Nutrition and Food Service Combi Ovens A. Background
The mission of the Hershel Woody Williams VAMC is to provide patient care. The mission of the department is the safe delivery of nearly 50,000 meals per annum. Food safety and temperature control are extremely important as related to patient safety. The existing Convectional Ovens in place is in need of replacement due to wear and tear, therefore replacement is warranted. In accordance with VHA 1109.3 Nutrition and Food Service Safety and VHA 1109.4 Food Service Management Program, requires the use of effective and safe equipment for the production and service of patient meals.
B. Objective
Following the completion of the proposed tasks, the client will be able effectively heat food to proper levels required to assure patient safety and customer satisfaction, in Accordance With (IAW) established guidelines.
C. Scope of Work
The proposed turn-key operation will include meeting the gas/electrical specifications in full scope. The contractor will coordinate with in-house services to ensure the safety of delivery and work area during all phases of the proposed work.
Requirements: Pre-Installation Site Consultation provides an installation consultation to ensure the site has proper space and connections for gas, electricity, drain & water, one (1) Consultation is needed for two (2) cooking systems, includes 100 miles (200 miles round trip). RCI RATIONAL Certified Installation, new certified installation for each individual gas and/or electric table-top iCombi on a stand or counter, 100 miles (200 round-trip) included. RCI RATIONAL Certified Installation for a RATIONAL Water Filter System The contractor shall meet the gas/electrical requirements and measure specifications of the facility. The contractor shall ensure that the equipment is installed IAW, plumbing, electrical, gas, and building codes through the measurement of BTU, voltage, watts, and amperage. Contractor shall uninstall, remove, and dispose of existing oven equipment. The contractor shall do a functional test of the equipment and trouble shoot as necessary. The contractor shall provide client training on operation and maintenance.
