The California Department of Conservation, Geologic Energy Management Division (CalGEM) has approved a permit for E & B Natural Resources Management Corporation to perform well reworking activities in the Poso Creek Oil Field located in Kern County, California. The primary objective of this project is to address well integrity issues for the Midway Premier 16-16 well (API #0403047279) by pulling and replacing the existing slotted liner. The scope of work may also include sidetracking or replacing the existing wellbore to restore its original functionality. Necessary operations include minor site preparation and the use of temporary equipment such as workover rigs, backhoes, pumps, water trucks, and various transport vehicles for the mobilization and demobilization of personnel and materials. All project activities are to be conducted entirely on an existing pad within an industrial area, ensuring no expansion of associated facilities or additional construction is required. Environmental compliance is managed through a California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Notice of Exemption, as the project involves minor repairs and alterations that do not significantly impact the environment. Furthermore, all waste materials generated during the process must be properly disposed of as either hazardous or non-hazardous waste at a facility licensed to accept such materials. The project is located at specific coordinates in Kern County, specifically Sec. 32, Twn. 27S, Rng. 27E, Base MD.
