The Army Contracting Command's Aviation Applied Technology Directorate (AATD) intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed price contract for one-year maintenance agreements for two specific 3D printers: the Stratasys 400mc and the Stratasys 900mc. These agreements will be procured exclusively from Stratasys Inc., the original equipment manufacturer, due to their unique capability to provide authentic replacement parts and qualified technicians for servicing these systems. The procurement follows FAR Part 13.106-1(b), emphasizing a non-competitive approach unless compelling evidence suggests otherwise after reviewing capability statements submitted by interested parties before the specified deadline. This procurement falls under the NAICS code 333249, with a small business size standard of 500 employees. Although no solicitation document or technical specifications are provided by the government, interested entities can submit capability statements by May 13, 2015, for consideration to determine whether a competitive procurement is warranted. The government retains full discretion regarding competition, and all correspondence must reference the solicitation number W911W615T0008. Beth Chapman, from the Army Contracting Command, serves as the point of contact for inquiries, and contractors must maintain good standing per the System for Award Management to be eligible for participation.
