76--Terrain Model for the Fort Jackson, South Carolina Contonment Area

The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Fort Jackson, South Carolina intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price, sole source award for a Terrain Model for of the Fort Jackson Contonment Area to Solid Terrain Modeling Inc., 340 Filmore ST, Filmore, CA, 93015. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) for commercially available items. Only one responsible source is reasonably available due to the fact that Solid Terrain Modeling Inc. has developed and patented the hardware and software systems which will expand the existing projection systems capability to project geo-referenced images onto the new models surface. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 339999 and the size standard is 500 employees. All responsible sources may submit a response. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A solicitation will not be issued. Interested firms may identify their interest in writing to the Government point of contact. Responses to this notice must be received no later than 3:00 PM Eastern Time 31 August 2010.
