Southern California Gas Company proposes to rework 3 existing gas storage wells at Aliso Canyon UGS 0100006. The intent of this project is to inspect well integrity and remediate identified conditions as part of the Storage Integrity Management Program (SIMP). After reviewing well history, available directional surveys and inspection logs, and current wellbore configuration (casing size, restrictions, perforations, liner, etc.), a plan was developed to return the well to service. This project includes pulling completion equipment, cleaning to total depth, performing casing expansions and with approval from CalGEM, performing integrity tests and running new completion tubing flow.
The proposed project consists of the California Department of Conservation, Geologic Energy Management Division (CalGEM) approving 2 permit(s) for Southern California Gas Company (S4700) to rework the well(s) listed below, in the Aliso Canyon Oil Field in Los Angeles County.
