Berry Petroleum Company, LLC proposes to sidetrack two existing oil and gas producer wells, specifically Hill 534 (API 0403022639) and Hill 644B (API 0403044366), located in the South Belridge oil field of Kern County, California. The project is overseen by the California Department of Conservation, Geologic Energy Management Division (CalGEM). The scope of work involves remedial, maintenance, conversion, and abandonment activities, including the reconstruction of casing and wellbores, alteration of well casing through perforating or repair, and the installation or removal of downhole production and injection equipment, cement plugs, bridge plugs, and packers. The project is situated in an area of existing disturbance, and the design ensures no change in surface topography, negligible vegetation removal, and no expansion of existing well pads or ground disturbance.
