The contract involves a sole source procurement for the installation and integration of an Electronic Security System (ESS) in Building 8031 at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. Awarded to Vindicator Technologies, Inc., this ESS must be compatible with the existing hardware and software systems currently deployed at other base facilities and must be monitorable from the Base Defense Operations Center (BDOC). This requirement serves as a follow-on to previous ESS installations, continuing the comprehensive alarm system refresh at the base under federal acquisition regulations that allow sole source contracts in specific circumstances. Previously, on March 5, 2020, Vindicator Technologies was contracted to provide ESS installations for the BDOC and building 6030B, and the current contract for building 8031 is an addition to that scope. The new system must seamlessly integrate with the BDOC’s monitoring and response capabilities, ensuring consistent security operations. The contract is managed by the Department of Defense, specifically the 7th Contracting Squadron at Dyess AFB, with primary contacts available for coordination and support. The procurement maintains alignment with the overall security infrastructure upgrade plan at Dyess AFB.
