Requisition Number: 637-22-3-996-0155 Contract Number: 36C24622P1077 In accordance with FAR 13.104, the Contracting Officer must promote competition to the maximum extent practicable to obtain supplies and services from the sources whose offer is the most advantageous to the Government . The undersigned Contracting Specialist discovered through market research that only one vendor provided a quote for all items requested. A Sources Sought solicitation was issued on Contracting Opportunities beginning 05/18/2022 and closed on 05/20/2020 with GETINGE USA SALES LLC. (OEM) being the only vendor to respond. OEM stated that they have TRILLAMED LLC. as their only one legally authorized distributor for their products. An Email Request for Quote was sent to TRILLAMED LLC. who responded as the sole source and OEM informing the government that the PROSEAL SEALER would only be available through them. TRILLAMED LLC. is the only source and they provided proof stating that they are the only source to procure the PROSEAL SEALER . This is to certify that the Contracting Officer solicited competition from an adequate number of contractors. In accordance with FAR 13.106-3 (a)(2), the price quote is hereby determined to be fair and reasonable based on Market Research, comparison of the proposed price with prices found reasonable on previous purchases that were determined fair and reasonable, current price advertisements, comparison with similar items in a related industry. Contracting Officer s personal knowledge of the item being purchased, comparison to an independent Government Estimate is the basis for price reasonableness.
