The order consists of 2,300 units of the regular size (NSN 8460-00-287-2137) and 1,500 units of the large size (NSN 8460-00-287-2140). All units are to be delivered to the Defense Depot in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, with a production lead time of 90 days following contract award. Pricing terms are FOB destination, and first article samples must be submitted within 45 days after award. The contract references previous pricing data from 2005 and emphasizes compliance with the Berry Amendment and related defense acquisition statutes, requiring products and materials—especially clothing and textiles—to be domestically sourced unless specific exceptions apply. Solicitation documents will be made available through the Defense Logistics Agency’s (DLA) DIBBS website starting February 21, 2008, with vendor registration and technical data requests handled via established online portals. Vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system and obtain access credentials through the DIBBS platform to participate. The solicitation will not be issued in paper form; all communications and data exchanges are electronic. The point of contact for this procurement is Jane L. DeMatto, who can be reached via phone or email as part of the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP) contracting office. This process facilitates transparent and streamlined government contracting for these specialized map case covers under NAICS code 314999, focusing on manufacturing custom textile products.
