The boots must comply with military standards MIL-STD-282 and MIL-STD-1916, ensuring effective protective capabilities, including resistance to chemical agents and decontaminating solutions. All boot components are to be manufactured from materials that withstand exposure to hazardous substances while maintaining durability and flexibility. Rigorous testing is mandated to confirm performance criteria such as tensile strength, abrasion resistance, flexibility, leakage prevention, toxicological agent resistance, penetration by mustard and nerve agent vapors, decontaminant resistance, and durability in low temperatures. The contract ensures the supply of specialized protective footwear meeting critical safety and operational standards for military and environmental hazard response.
