The VISN 10 Contracting Activity intends to award a sole source contract with a Vendor to purchase two hundred (200) nurse locating badges which utilize an infrared signal to notify the whereabouts of a particular nurse. The procurement will be for the VAMC Cleveland, Ohio. The Government believes that Hill-Rom is the only company that can satisfy the agency requirements. Therefore, the Government intends to proceed with sole source procurement for the required equipment. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 - Other Than Full and Open Competition justification and approval. To the best of our knowledge, Hill-Rom Co is the only source that provides the above indicated system. Any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within three (3) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Telephone and facsimile requests/inquiries will not be accepted. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements. Information can be sent to Contracting Officer: contact@example.gov. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Cleveland VA Medical Center will precede with the sole source award with a Vendor who can provide a quote for the two hundred nurse locating badges mentioned above.
