94--Bryce Canyon - Intention to Award a Sole Source

Bryce Canyon National Park intends to award a sole source contract in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source will satisfy agency requirements, to Hankins Stone Company, Inc. in Dove Creek, Colorado. This requirement is for the acquisition of a special hard ledge stone in a color that was approved by the Utah State Historic Preservation Officer. The applicable NAICS for this acquisition is 212311 with a business size standard of 500 employees. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet this requirement are invited to submit in writing, complete information describing their ability to provide this equipment. Such information should include cost proposal information for providing the items, and specific information addressing their products' specifications. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the NPS not to open the requirement to competition is solely within the discretion of the NPS. If no affirmative written responses are received by close of business August 20, 2007, a sole source contract will be issued to Hankins Stone Company, Inc.
