The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is offering an opportunity to license a patented technology that utilizes a simple, compact supercritical thermodynamic power cycle system designed to generate power from low temperature heat sources ranging approximately from 200 to 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit. This innovation stands out for its use of working fluids other than water or steam, which allows for an efficient conversion of heat to mechanical power, potentially offering a cost-competitive solution for power production. TVA is open to both exclusive and non-exclusive licensing arrangements and invites interested parties with relevant commercialization experience to submit written expressions of interest by May 6, 2005. Interested entities can request an information package from TVA and may also access engineering and commercialization support services from TVA’s Research & Technology Applications staff on a fee basis. All communications, including expressions of interest and requests for additional information, should be directed to Tracey R. Willingham, the designated contract agent, at the TVA Environmental Research Center in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. This opportunity targets entities involved in the energy sector, specifically those aligned with the NAICS code 221119, which relates to electric power generation.
