The 1st Contracting Squadron has a requirement to procure a electronic Congressional Quarterly subscription for Langley AFB, VA. This subscription allows the capability to receive the following services via internet: Daily and weekly Congressional news, House and Senate Action reoprts (Fact sheets, Floor & Conference Summaries), Bill Analysis, Bill Tracker (detailed legislative histories, status reports, Floor speeches, Committee Amendment details), Budget Tracker, Member Profiles and Committee Rosters, Bill Comparison Reports, Floor Votes, and lesgislative impact reports. The 1st Contracting Squadron intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The 1st Contracting Squadron intends to negotiate a firm fixed-price purchase order with Congressional Quarterly Inc; 1255 22nd Street, Northwest, 7th Floor ? Washington D.C. 20037. The NAICS code for this procurement is 516110. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the contracting officer NLT by the response date as indicated at the end of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed. Responses are due by August 13, 2007 at 4:00 P.M. EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
