THIS AMENDMENT IS TO ADD THE TITLES OF THE DATABASES: This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT to procure the following service: W91ZLK-13-T-0322 Medical Journal/Database Subscription Renewal DATABASE TITLES ARE: ACADEMIC SEARCH PREMIER BIOMEDIACL REFERENCE COLLECTION COMPREHENSIVE NURSING & ALLIED HEALTH COLLECTION COMPREHENSIVE MEDLINE HEALTH BUSINESS ELITE CINAHL ALT HEALTH WATCH DATABASE OF ABSTRACTS OF REVIEWS AND EFFECTS COCHRANE DATABASE OF SYSTEMATIC REVIEWS NHS ECONOMIC EVALUATION DATABASE CINAHL PLUS WITH FULL TEXT DENTISTRY & ORAL SCIENCES SOURCE INTERNATIONAL PHARMACEUTICAL ABSTRACTS COCHRANE CENTRAL REGISTER OF CONTROLLED TRIALS HEALTH TECHNOLOGY ASSESSMENTS COCHRANE METHODOLOGY The period of performance is 1 year from the date of the award with two (2) 12-month options. Service will be delivered to Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract (as prescribed in the Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1) to EBSCO Information Services, 10 Estes Street, Ipswich, MA 01938. EBSCO Information Services is the sole provider of the databases that the Army Public Health Command is renewing. Powered by EBSCOhost, these databases contain functionality that is proprietary which makes EBSCO Information Services the only vendor capable of providing the Database and Journal renewal. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 511120 and the Business Size Standard is 500. Posting date of this requirement is 13 September 2013. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 4:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time, 20 September 2013. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. This award is being made by the U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground Tenant Contracting Division, 6001 Combat Drive, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-1846.
