NA 99-MISCELLANEOUS This synopsis is for the purchase of a HD-6000 Cavity Degausser. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Th is announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request For Quote. The Government intends to award this requirement on a sole source basis to Da ta Security Inc., pursuant to FAR 6.302.1. Only One Responsible Source. Degausser must be capable of degaussing tapes up to 2500 Oersteds and hard drives up to 3000 Oersteds. Must operate under standard office conditions and voltage. Such a degausser i s required to declassify classified media and to sanitize non-operational SBU media. Per NCSC-TG-025 the degausser must be listed on the National Security Agency (NSA) Degausser Product List (DPL). The resultant award will include a CLIN breakdown as fol lows: 1) HD-6000 Cavity Degausser, 1 each, 2) 1 Year Maintenance Agreement for HD-6000 Degausser, 3) Six Months Certification for the HD-6000 Cavity Degausser with provisions for NSA directed periodic certification. Interested contractors must provide doc umentation to show that they are providing the brand name (HD-6000 Cavity Degausser).
