I.BACKGROUND: Product Manager - Soldier Protective Equipment (PM-SPE) is seeking sources within the United States who have the ability to import silk cocoons and conduct post-cocoon processing to produce silk yarns. The production of silk yarns (from the imported silk cocoons) is desired for use in manufacturing Berry Amendment compliant, personal protective equipment. -THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY and should not be construed as a commitment by the government for any actual procurement of materials or services. -THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION and no contracts will be awarded for this effort at this time. -RESPONSES TO THIS REQUEST ARE NOT OFFERS and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract or agreement. II.SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Responses to this Sources Sought Request shall include the following: a. Company Name, Street Address, Point of Contact Information (name, e-mail address, phone number) b. Information on the vendor's current contracts, such as GSA or other Government agency contracts under which the required items / services could be purchased. c. Information of vendor's past performance on recent, relevant contracts. d. Discussion of vendor's capability to import silk cocoons and conduct post-cocoon processing. e.
