The contract involves a one-year renewal for software maintenance and support for TerraGo 2D GeoPDF Publisher SOCET GXP and the SOCET GXP eXTREME Analysis Bundle, specifically 16 and 19 units respectively. The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC) plans to award this contract solely to BAE Systems Information Solutions Inc., the manufacturer and sole source provider of SOCET GXP software, under a sole-source authority outlined in the Federal Acquisition Regulation. This support will serve the SMDC/ARSTRAT G2 AGI Node Division located at Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado, with a performance period from September 1, 2014, to August 31, 2015. Due to the unique nature of the software and BAE Systems being the only responsible source able to meet government requirements, full and open competition is not applicable, and a justification for this sole-source award has been approved. The procurement follows specific FAR provisions appropriate for commercial item acquisitions and sole-source contracts. Interested parties must submit proposals electronically to the designated government point of contact by the specified deadline; submissions to other contacts or by other means will not be accepted.
