The contract involves the procurement of two units of a Locator Pin Assembly (NSN 1R-9999-LLF02N446-SX) under solicitation number N0038326QNA37, with delivery terms FOB origin. This item is flight critical, requiring government source approval prior to contract award. Due to insufficient technical data and concerns about availability from other suppliers, the government is restricting solicitation to previously approved sources only. Potential new sources must submit extensive technical and production data in compliance with NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support procedures; incomplete proposals or lack of required source approval documentation will not be considered. The approval process for new sources is typically lengthy and may not allow contract award delays, underscoring the urgency and support needs for government operations. This acquisition is conducted under sole-source authority FAR 6.302-1, as competitive procurement is limited by the unique nature of the item and approved sources. Although this is not a request for competitive proposals, interested parties may express interest and submit capability information within the stated deadlines to be considered. The government reserves discretion to proceed without competition based on market responses. The solicitation does not follow FAR Part 12 commercial item policies but includes applicable trade agreement clauses. Interested vendors can obtain further information and necessary documentation from the designated NAVSUP office in Philadelphia and are encouraged to consult the posted NAVSUP resources and contact points for compliance and submission guidance.
