Full Description

The Runway Safety Area (RSA) Sterilization initiative requires the FAA to replace all non-frangible structures in the RSA to frangible structures. The purpose of this announcement is to publish the FAA's intent to award a single source contract to Jaquith Industries Inc., Syracuse, NY for Low Impact Resistant (LIR) Structures and Ancillary Equipment. This contract will also be used to supplement the inventory at the FAA Logistics Center for future projects. Jaquith Industries Inc. currently provides LIR structures and ancillary equipment for the National Air Space. Jaquith will deliver LIR structures and all supporting equipment to the FAA Logistics Center in Oklahoma City, OK. Jaquith' structures have a definitive base compatible with FAA's base structures currently installed at various airports. Due to schedule and budget constraints, the FAA does not have the resources or time to construct new concrete bases required to accommodate a new design structure. This is not a screening information request or request for proposal of any kind. The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. The FAA is not liable for any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this request for information/market survey, nor will reimburse or otherwise pay any costs incurred by any party responding. Written questions or comments must be received by the Contracting Officer at contact@example.gov and the Contracting Officer's Technical Representatives at contact@example.gov and contact@example.gov by 4:00 local time on August 9, 2010.
