Full Description

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT W91ZLK-09-T-0386, TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items to Transoma Medical Inc. (Data Sciences International (DSI)). This will be an acquisition under the authority of the test program for commercial items section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996. The US Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Contracting Center, Aberdeen Installation Contracting Division, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, Aberdeen, MD 21005 has a requirement to procure the following items: CLIN 0001 2 EA 279-0003-001 APR-1 Recalibration;CLIN 0002 1 EA 279-0032-004; CLIN 0003 1 EA 271-0117-001; CLIN 0004 1 EA 370-0102-001; CLIN 0005 1 EA 274-0009-001; CLIN 0006 4 EA 270-0040-010; CLIN 0007 4 EA 270-0092-015; CLIN 0008 5 EA 270-0040-010X; CLIN 0009 4 EA 270-0092-015X This firm is the sole developer/manufacturer /distributor of the product. These products will be procured for replacements parts of a Pressure Reference Module and telemetric trasmitter that Transoma Medical manufactured. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 339999 and the Business Size Standard is 500. All responses received within five (5) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 2:00 PM Eastern Time, Friday, May 7, 2009. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
