99--Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Order

The Army Contracting Agency, Directorate of Contracting, Fort Bragg, NC, has a requirement for Ground Cable Kits, ON-373B/GRC, Part Number A3272591-1(IDS5)to meet an existing need that the Material Maintenance Division at Fort Bragg, NC must accompli sh. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document exists. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued (oral offers will not be accepted). ITT Aerospace/Communications is the only known manufacturer of and distributor of this product. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES, however, any firm that believes it can provide the stated equipment is invited to submit writte n notification to the Contracting Specialist within the timeframe stated below. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the firm's ability to provide the stated supplies within the established timeframe. Information can be sent to the Contract Specialist via e- mail at: contact@example.gov. within 3 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in SUFFICIENT detail to demonstsrate the firm's ability to provide the sta ted supplies. Responses received from other businesses prior to 4:00 pm EST will be evaluated. No telephonic responses will be accepted. Responses received will be evaluated, however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procure ment based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, Directorate of Contracting will proceed with the sole source contract.
