The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS), Centers for Epidemiology and Animal Health (CEAH) intends to issue a sole source order to Orion Systems International, Inc., Santa Monica, CA for Rhapsody Integration Engine which utilizes the HL7 standard natively and includes:a. Rhapsody Data Engine and administration and monitoring interface b. Symphonia Message Mapper and Toolkit c. Documentation d. Embedded Software. Use is restricted to Animal Health messaging between VS and the National Animal Health Laboratory Network laboratories in the United States. Number of sites: 80. Number of communication points: 12. This sole source procurement is under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 - only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The NAICS code is 443120, Computer and Software Stores. The small business size standard is no more than $8 million in average annual receipts for the offeror's preceding 3 years. This is a simplified acquisition for a commercial item with an estimated total value of less than $400,000.
