The government is conducting a sources sought effort to gather information from qualified firms capable of providing depot maintenance services for A-10 aircraft at Osan Air Force Base in the Republic of Korea. This notice is solely for market research purposes and does not constitute a solicitation or guarantee that a solicitation will be issued. The anticipated contract, potentially released in December 2013, is expected to be a single five-year award with an option to extend services for up to six months. Work will encompass full depot maintenance of A-10 aircraft within 450 nautical miles of Osan Air Force Base, including 3-6 aircraft inductions annually, occasional drop-in maintenance, contract field team deployments, and potential future modification programs. Sources must operate under NAICS code 488190, and there are no small business restrictions; foreign companies may participate as prime contractors. Interested companies are invited to voluntarily submit information including company identification details, capabilities, government contract experience, organizational charts, and previous depot maintenance experience, with submissions limited to ten pages. Responses will not result in compensation, nor will failure to respond preclude participation in future solicitations. Questions and submissions must be sent via email directly to designated contacts at Hill AFB and not through the federal business opportunities portal. This effort is led by Hill AFB’s Life Cycle Management Center in coordination with its Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex, aiming to identify potential vendors for a forthcoming solicitation to support the A-10 aircraft mission in the Pacific theater.
