This announcement serves as an advanced notification from the Department of Defense regarding an upcoming Request for Project Proposals (RPP) for Ground Vehicle Systems Research and Development projects. It is not a solicitation for proposals nor a commitment for award, but rather a planning tool to inform industry and members of the National Advanced Mobility Consortium (NAMC) about the Government’s intent to invite proposals for project execution in specified research areas. The Government previously entered into an Other Transaction Agreement with NAMC in July 2014 to facilitate prototype projects in this domain, and future project awards are anticipated to be made exclusively to NAMC members based on submitted proposals. The anticipated areas of research focus include topics such as lightweight integrated MTVR cabs, common hydraulic and lubricant systems for MTVRs, seat restraint development, single cylinder engine technology demonstrators, tactical wheeled vehicle fleet management, adaptive response floor systems, industrial hygiene, condition-based maintenance tools, hull deformation reduction, and foundational flooring system design. Interested parties seeking to join NAMC or obtain further information are directed to contact the NAMC Membership Services Manager. The solicitation is identified by number W15QKN14Z4564, and activities will be managed through the Picatinny Arsenal office of the Department of Defense under NAICS code 541330.
