The Air Armament Center’s 46th Test Squadron plans to award a sole source contract to Dopplertech Inc. for the provision of Missile Fly-out Data Services. This contract involves the continuous collection of high-fidelity flight data using Doppler radar, infrared, visible, and high-speed video technologies to track missile flights accurately from launch to endgame. The data will be processed to yield precise missile roll rates, attitudes, and time, space, and position information (TSPI) for scoring purposes. To support these activities, the contractor must supply all necessary hardware and software for data reduction and seamlessly interface with range control fiber optic networks to enable near real-time 3D visualization of the missile flight path. The equipment must also be mobile, as data collection may occur across various Department of Defense and Department of Energy test ranges. Dopplertech is uniquely qualified for this contract as the sole commercial entity certified to operate and maintain Weibel Radars in North America, a critical capability for this service. The point of contact for inquiries and routine communications is Captain Brian Hurley, who can be reached via phone or email. The contract references a solicitation number and was posted as a presolicitation opportunity, emphasizing the specialized nature of the requirement and the sole source justification given Dopplertech’s unique certification and capabilities.

The Air Armament Center (AAC), 46th Test Squadron intends to award a sole source contract to Dopplertech Inc., 9345 S. Frontage Rd., Yuma AZ 85365. This sole source contract will provide Missile Fly-out Data Service. This effort will provide continuous wave Doppler radar, infrared, visible and high speed video data of missiles during flight. Data collection activities include acquisition and tracking of a missile from land-based launch vehicle using a nominal trajectory file and ?well known target? with very predictable fight characteristics. Tracking must be accurate through the endgame. Raw radar data must be converted to engineering units to provide accurate missile roll rate, missile attitude and time, space, and position information (TSPI) scoring. The contractor shall provide all hardware/software suites to support data reduction. All hardware and software necessary to interface collected data with range control fiber optic networks are required to provide near real-time radar TSPI to display missile fly out in 3D. Data collection activities may be accomplished at various DoD and DoE test ranges, therefore hardware and software must be mobile. Dopplertech, Inc. is the only known commercial entity certified for operations and maintenance of Weibel Radars in North America. Direct all questions and routine communications concerning this acquisition to Captain Brian Hurley, Contract Specialist at 850-882-0159, e-mail brian.hurley2@eglin.af.mil.
