Full Description

This is a notice of intent that 542 CBSG/PKS anticipates issuing a contract for the purchase of services and support necessary to study the feasibility of various situational awareness improvements to the AAR-44 IRWR. Improvements include object analysis, passive ranging, geolocation of missiles and hostile fire indication. Background data collection and prototype software are part of the effort as well. The period of performance will be 24 months. The proposed contract action is for supplies and/or services for which the Government intends to restrict competition to the qualified source only, L-3 Communications Cincinnati Electronics, Mason OH. Authority: 10 U.S.C 2304(C)(1). Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice if intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a future competitive procurement. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO below for additional information. See notes 22 and 26.
