THE UNITED STATES ARMY CONTRACTINGCOMMAND, DETROIT ARSENAL, MICHIGAN(ACC-DTW), Awarded A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT W912CH-26-D-0002 TO GENERAL DYNAMICS LAND SYSTEMS on 13 April 2026 and the first task order W912CH-26-F-0252 on 29 April 2026. THIS EFFORT IS FOR THE CONTINUED DESIGN, INTEGRATION, AND VALIDATION OF GFI ARMOR DESIGNS AND CONCEPTS APPLICABLE TO EXISTING AND FUTURE ABRAMS MAIN BATTLE TANKS AND VARIANTS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PERFORM DESIGN INTEGRATION, PREPARE TEST PLANS, FABRICATE BALLISTIC TEST HARDWARE AND PROVIDE TECHNICAL SUPPORT FOR EACH GOVERNMENT DIRECTED ARMOR IMPROVEMENT. FINAL INTEGRATED CLASSIFIED ARMOR DESIGNS SHALL BE DEPICTED IN A COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN (CAD) THREE-DIMENSIONAL PARAMETRIC SOLID MODEL AND SHALL BE COMPATIBLE WITH COMPUTER AIDED MANUFACTURING (CAM) SOFTWARE AND PROCESSES. THE NORTH AMERICAN INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION SYSTEMS(NAICS) CODE FOR THIS EFFORT IS 541715. THIS ACTION WILL CONSIST OF A Maximum LEVEL OF EFFORT OF 27,410 MAN HOURS OVER FIVE YEARS. THE ANTICIPATED PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE IS NOT TO EXCEED FIVE YEARS, 29 Apr 2026 - 28 Apr 2031.
