ABS-Certified Carbon Steel Structural Beam Production

This subcontract for the Department of Defense DDSP New Cumberland Facility involves the manufacture and supply of carbon steel structural beams for prime contractors on DLA projects. The required beams must be 4 inches in height and 6 inches in width, with lengths ranging from 20 to 40 feet, adhering strictly to ASTM-A6 Table A2.1 W-shapes and MIL-S-22698 specifications. A total of 90 feet of certified beams must be delivered. Production must be carried out by an approved steel mill in compliance with ABS Rules for Building and Classing Steel Vessels. The contractor is responsible for coordinating with an ABS Surveyor to obtain mandatory certificate endorsements. All deliveries must include ABS-endorsed quality certificates to verify compliance with the established technical and regulatory standards.
