Access to National Market Share Data -CIRCANA The objective of this acquisition is to obtain access to national retail sales scanner data from markets representing the total U.S. for the past 5 rolling years. The access will allow FDA to continue monitoring packaged consumer goods in the U.S. market and to enable analyses that will inform policy decisions. By acquiring data access, FDA shall obtain real-time access to post market surveillance data, improve the accuracy and quality of information included in post market studies, improve the accuracy and quality of research and publications, obtain a cost effective solution for access to supplemental post market data at an enterprise level, use the information to conduct post market surveillance on FDA regulated products to predict, identify and track emerging public health benefits and threats, use the information to initiate appropriate response to ensure the safety of FDA regulated products and the public.
