AI Contract Overview
This contract, identified by solicitation number SPE7M3-26-T-7481, procures a straight adapter for pipe to hose and flange to hose applications under NSN 4730-00-793-9809, with a quantity of 155 units at a unit price of $155.00, totaling $24,025.00. Delivery is required FOB origin within 221 days of contract award, with a need ship date of January 5, 2027, and an original required delivery date of January 20, 2028. The item is classified as a critical application with no shelf life requirement and is subject to government source inspection and a first article test, the latter of which is separately listed as a line item with a single unit quantity, though no separate price is assigned and offerors are expected to absorb FAT costs. Technical compliance is governed by MIL-DTL-24356B Revision B dated March 20, 2023, and referenced quality assurance procedures. Packaging must adhere to MIL-STD-2073-1E and DLA packaging requirements, with marking in accordance with MIL-STD-129 and no special marking codes. Palletization and unit of issue follow DLA standards, and the delivered item must be shipped to the DLA Distribution facility in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. The contract strictly prohibits the intentional use or direct contact of mercury or mercury-containing compounds except in specified functional components like batteries, fluorescent lamps, instruments, sensors, controls, weapon systems, and chemical reagents approved by NAVSEA; portable mercury-containing devices must include shockproof construction and a secondary containment boundary as per NAVSEA 5100-003D. Class I ozone-depleting chemicals are forbidden in all delivered items, superseding any conflicting specification requirements, and any substitute materials require prior approval. The contract operates under full and open competition, with all procurements subject to the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements referenced as RP001, RA001, RQ009, and RQ011, with applicable revisions tied to the solicitation issue or award date depending on acquisition size. Any configuration changes require an engineering change proposal or variance request, and compliance with all technical data package specifications, inspection points, and acceptance points at origin is mandatory.
