Full Description

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Office of Procurement Operations (OPO), Information Technology Acquisition Center (ITAC), on behalf of DHS, the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Information Technology Services Office (ITSO), intends to enter into a contract on a sole source basis with Ultra Electronic, Prologic Inc. for the procurement of peripheral components for use with the Communications Security (COMSEC) Accounting, Reporting, and Distribution System (CARDS) Solitaire Version Two (V2) and the CARDS server. This action is to purchase Standard Solitaire V2 docking stations which include battery chargers (Part #5811-0101), battery sets (quantity of two (2)) (Part#5811-0001), Intel 80 GGB SSD kit (Part #5810-0092-BOSSD), and CARDS one way cables with drivers for Windows and Solitaire (10 feet) (Part # 5811-0103B). The docking stations with battery chargers, battery sets, and CARDS cables were manufactured specifically for Solitaire V2. The Intel 80 GGB SSD kit shall include proper mounting and installation parts, which are unique to Solitaire V2. This requirement will be fulfilled using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b). A sole source justification is attached to this notice. No solicitation package will be posted. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Responses received by 5 PM Eastern Time (ET) on August 15, 2012, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The resultant award will be a firm fixed price purchase order.
