All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. FN Herstal is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of GAU-21, and as such, is the only known source available with the requisite technical knowledge, experience, and tooling to produce the requirements described herein to satisfy the Government's requirement. Subcontracting opportunities should be sought directly from FN Herstal at the following address: (a) FN Herstal, S.A., Voie de Liege 33, B-4040 Herstal, Belgium; (b) Attn: Michel Carabin; and (c) Tel +32 4 240 8997 or Fax: +32 4 240 8550.
